Carol Schneider is a retired Ledyard resident. She has worked at the U.S. Submarine Base, Mystic River Press, Norwich Bulletin and at an independent shop at Mohegan Sun. Elizabeth Peterson is a nuclear engineer at Dominion’s Millstone Power Station and teaches physics at University of New Haven. She has lived in Ledyard since 1990 with her sons completing K-12 in Ledyard Public Schools. She is committed to developing Ledyard while sustaining its traditions. Eric McDermott serves as the Electric Operation Integrity Manager for Norwich Public Utilities. He holds a B.S. in Marine Engineering, an MBA, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Eric has experience in Project and Operations Management and currently serves as an officer in the United States Navy Reserve. He grew up in Ledyard, graduating from Ledyard High School in 1998 and returned to Ledyard to live in 2009.
Richard Tashea is a long time Ledyard resident and retired business owner with decades of experience in Ledyard governance including being a former Town Councilor.
Shane Roberts serves as a restaurant manager at Margaritaville, as well as a volunteer at Mystic Aquarium. His administrative focuses are waste reduction and creative development. Interests include conservation, human rights, and politics. Born and raised in Norwich, Shane has lived in Ledyard with his wife and son since 2010.
The Economic Development Commission is responsible for expanding the tax base of the Town of Ledyard and for advocating, facilitating, promoting, and advising on economic development issues within the town.
