The Assessor's Office determines the assessed value of all taxable property including real estate, motor vehicle, and business personal property located in the Town of Ledyard.
The Assessor's Office maintains records for all property in the Town of Ledyard. Street card, parcel map, grand list data, and sales data can be found in the Assessor's Office.
Board of Assessment Appeals
The Board of Assessment Appeals meet annually following the completion of the Grand List. The Board reviews and acts on resident appeals to Real Estate and Motor Vehicle assessments on behalf of the Town pursuant to Public Act 95-283.
Pursuant to P.A. 95-283, of the State of Connecticut, an application to appeal of a Real Estate assessment must be filed: on or between February 1 and February 20. All sections must be completed. The Board of Assessment Appeals is not required to give a hearing date to an incomplete application.
Hearings for Real Estate appeals are held during the month of March. Appeals for motor vehicles are held in September.
